Come quickly!

Mark 13:27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

Jesus’ second coming is going to be quite the display of majestic power and authority.  This verse is just a final touch, so to speak, on a couple of verses in Mark 13 that give a summary of the events to come.  The universe as we know it will literally be falling apart, and that is when Jesus will make His appearance “with great power and glory.”  There will be no mistaking who He is or the power He has, and at that moment, He will have the angels call all of us believers to come meet Him.  I look forward to that event!  But if I do, I cannot imagine how great it will be for those who have suffered far more than I ever have for the sake of the gospel.  Can you imagine how it will be for them to see Jesus come with such a gloriously authoritative showing?  Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
