One of the challenges when making birthday cards is finding a way to reflect the season with the card decorations but at the same time, not overpowering the birthday sentiment with the seasonal decoration. I think this is especially challenging for Christmas-time birthdays.
I have found a great solution for this year's December birthday cards I have had to make, and there seem to be a lot of them! I have a new stamp set of angels. While the sentiments are mostly Christmas-related, a couple of the angels are holding a banner onto which you can stamp numerous words, such as "blessings," "peace," etc.
"Blessings" is a good birthday sentiment as well as Christmas, so making the angel hold a blessing banner makes a great Christmas-y birthday card, especially when adding a "Happy Birthday" sentiment,as you can see here:
I made this one using gold and white card stocks, but I also made a couple using white and deep blue. They all came out so pretty and festive with just a little bit of Christmas included.
Thanks,Maymay, for yet another inspiring stamp set! This one is called "Good News."
